Kaye Ott                                                                                                        Beloved DSCT "Doggie Diva"
Kaye is a canine character, a pooch with many personalities! An Irish Jack Russell Terrier breed, Kaye came to DSCT in 2012 when Richard Ott adopted her from a friend in Rochester, NY. Although timid at first, Kaye took to DSCT like 'trim to a pillow'! Although her main quarters are located on the Mezzanine under Richard's desk, she pays frequent social visits to Nancy Z's, Kirsten Floyd's, Robin Jones' and Ridgewood Designs' offices. The hallway often is devoted to spirited games of Fetch. When Kaye needs a break from being adored by showroom patrons, she retreats to her satellite 'nap nest' under Sarah's desk! She visits Darlene's desk for healthy treats during the day...sometimes a bit too often! Kay loves to sit in and ON the fabrics during vendor trunk shows! Kaye appreciates fine textiles. Awhile back, she became so attached to one of the faux mink throws that was draped on a sofa that Richard had to purchase it for her continued comfort at home! Kaye also has Eddie wrapped around her little paw as he lovingly takes her for noon time strolls outside. If you are lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Kaye when she is arriving or departing the showroom, you will be tickled pink to see her repertoire of canine fashions designed to keep her dry and warm and FABULOUS! Our very own Nancy Perkins' designed and sewed a wool ruffled dress coat for Miss Kaye from discontinued samples selected by Memo Librarian Adrian Barnes! Rumor has it that more patterns are in process! And do be sure to complement Kaye on her bejeweled collar. It will bedazzle you! Be sure to check this out: Courtesy of master floral designer, Ruth Loiseau, there is a silk floral replica of Kaye in the Kravet showcase window! Kaye must surely know that she is the cat's meow!
