Color Trends for Spring 2012

It’s officially spring. But does it look like spring in your home? 2012 is bringing forth fun colors for the spring. They are fun. They are fresh. Indeed they are fabulous. For example, as we’ve mentioned on this blog before, Pantone named Tangerine Tango, a hot red-orange hue,its 2012 color of the year. You’ll see the vibrant color implemented allthroughoutthe spring, andbeyond. This is a very upbeat, rich shade that looks lovely paired with white or beige. You can also use Tangerine Tango to accent a neutral room, like this contemporary dining space and its Tangerine Tango accent wall.

Yellow is a sunny shade that is sure to brighten the mood for spring. Yellow is very versatile. Try topair pops ofbrilliantyellow with simplistic black and white, or even pair yellow with with jewel tones such as teal and a subdued purple.

Also, think of a spring green. Colors such as celadon work well to generate a relaxing, laid back, bright feel for any room.

I absolutely love these colors. I actually do not know which color to accentuate in our house. It would probably be a bad idea if I combine all three!! I am not really so fond of orange shades so I guess I will go for yellow. It really looks so refreshing. Nevertheless, these samples are great.
